Coco Chanel, legendary fashion designer and a true icon in fashion once said, “Fashion is not only about clothes or women, it is everywhere, it’s on the streets”. This statement somewhat true, fashion is not always related to trendy people with the latest expensive clothes from Prada, Hermes, or Burberry. Fashion is about the expression and statement that you express through your clothes. Now you can see that many youngsters on the streets have done mix and matching between many elements of fashion into something fresher, unique, and new.

You can take an example of Harajuku Street, which becomes the melting pot of youth to show off their identity. Harajuku is just like a catwalk and has inspired many designers and public figures including Gwen Stefani of the band No Doubt who deeply in love with this style. Harajuku style is unique. There is no limitation. You can express yourself and the point is, you would never trap between cheap or expensive dichotomy. It is all about who you are.

This “street style” now becomes a certain trend that the designers try to capture and develop. This spirit of street also “infect” many top designers in Paris, Milan, New York, and many other countries and force them to follow this trend that is spread from below.
